Look carefully behind the exhaust pipe under the head and see if that is where your oil is coming from. It runs down to the lower edge of the upper fin and then the air distributes along the engine and back to the side covers area. Messy but typical of the Savage. Not sure we have a 100% fix yet, but be sure you get the newesdt version of the part if you buy one to fix it.
